A seating alcove in the front entry of the Architecture school at Toronto Metropolitan University, the design explores the use of 3d printed custom joints as a way to extend the design language of plywood panels. We exposed the joints as prominent decorative elements, while the plywood sheets become expressive through unconventional placement. Plywood is used to create backrests and simple shade in the glass alcove.
